OVERGENERALIZATIONS NOT HELPFUL
Source: The San Juan Star / page 50 / Wednesday, May 3, 2006
The STAR'S Monday editorial uses an improper generalization when it ascribes blame for the inconceivable action taken by the "Honorable" Gov. Acevedo Vilá. The Legislature has passed several measures which the governor has vetoed. His intransigence is for anyone to see.
Either the Legislature does what Acevedo Vilá asks, or the administration closes all avenues of service and responsibility. Why is The STAR so easy on the governor, happily including the Legislature in the irresponsibility? Probably because of overgeneralizing. Our situation needs fairness, not overgeneralizations.
