The New Face of Slavery

The title is in accordance to what I consider the new condition of slavery in the world. In the past centuries, slavery had an ugly face; you could easily recognize it for what it was. The exploitation of a human being, plain and simple (and brutal!). Today slavery got itself a face lift and it smells like Channel No. 99. It is pretty on the outside, but on the inside it is as it always has been: the exploitation of a human being, nothing new about that.

The difference now is that the slaves of the past would not be grateful or happy about their masters whereas the slaves of today are conditioned to love their masters and be happy about their conditions and surroundings.

Today we have the capacity to live healthier and happier lives than the people of previous centuries. I ask then : why do most of us live a rat-race life where we struggle to go to a disgusting job, and then go back home to gulp down unhealthy food, go to sleep and repeat this day after day?

No matter where you live in the world, this flaws seem to be the common denominator everywhere there is a system of GOVERNMENT HIGHLY BUREAUCRATIC AND CORRUPT, call it democracy, social-democrat, communist, you name it !

These flaws stem from the people in charge of the government. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE WORKING FOR US AND NOT AGAINST US.

Phase 1: World Police or the Unified Army
Around May-2006 I was at home watching the news, something uncommon for me because most of what I see in the news is boring information that I don't really need. Never mind, the point of this is that I saw two "segments" of news that didn't seem so important at the moment, but later upon analysis, they proved to be most disturbing to me.

In a Central American country (I don't remember which one now) there was a riot. A large group of merchants were protesting, they wanted to earn more money on the product they sell. The police task force was sent to control them. I don't know who initiated the violent acts, but the police task force was chasing the rioters and hitting everyone they could, until they found the leader of these people, whom they arrested immediately.

The other "segment" showed a riot in South Korea. There were large groups of people fighting the police. The police were using pepper spray and water guns to disperse the rioters.

The next day I saw a similar piece of news related to Puerto Rico. The police task force was sent to keep under control large groups of protesters.

What I found disturbing about these events is the extreme similarity of the police task force of every country. No matter in which country they deployed their forces, these police corps all seemed to be identical in their uniforms and the tactics they used against the people.

Maybe they all buy their uniforms from the same store and go to the same police academy!

A happy bunch of policemen they are!

I was annoyed because all these police corps seemed to be part of a world army against the common citizen. All of them looking the same and attacking the citizens in the same manner no matter in which country they happened to be.

The truth is that the leaders of the world know how to join forces efficiently when it comes to work against the best interests of the people.

Phase 2: Big Brother is here! He has been here for quite a long time?!

Systems of Surveillance abound throughout the world. There is Echelon to sniff your online activities, and there are surveillance cameras sprouting everywhere. Privacy is a dirty word for the government and private companies. They want to know (or steal) every tiny bit of personal information they can lay their hands on, and then some more.

Phase 3: You are Borg you have already been assimilated

The merging of companies guaranties that a few privileged people will be able to control vast resources and also means that average people will have fewer choices. Propaganda is big business, it can build or destroy empires just by manipulating the words you read in a newspaper, magazine or flier, and same thing with radio or TV, only difference is that the power of TV is a quantum leap over the others. In just 30 seconds of ads you will be taught what to buy, with whom you will hang out and how you will feel about yourself.

Yes indeed, you are a slave. A happy one at that. The media told you so! You are grateful about all the good things your lords are giving you. And they love you(r money). After all, you make them richer!

Just consider that there may be an occult price tag attached to every aspect of your life.
